Apps I use as a freelance web designer

Picture yourself as a skilled racers, running the track everyday and winning races. Yet, even the most talented racer needs a high-performance car to secure victory. Similarly, as freelancers, we also need the perfect apps to win our daily races.

Here are five apps that help me run my business daily(yes I'm a car sports fan).

ClickUp, the app that manages everything

This is the most important app the I use daily out of all. If you don't know yet, ClickUp is project management tool that helps manage projects, tasks and goals. It's thanks to this that all of my projects go smoothly from start to finish.

The only comparable alternative I think of this app is Notion.

Figma

When it comes to crafting pixel-perfect user interfaces, Figma stands out as a true game-changer. Its collaborative design environment allows me to create, iterate, and share UI designs effortlessly. With real-time collaboration, feedback loops are shortened, resulting in visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces and faster project deliveries. One of the best things I love about Figma is how is it is for beginners to learn about it and starti designing.

VSCode

Visual Studio Code (VSCode) is my go-to tool for web development. It's light-weight, very customisable and has a great number of plugins to extend its functionality.

Adobe suite (Creative Cloud)

Rather than being a single app, this is a suite of apps. I use it for all my creative tasks and the Adobe Suite has become an irreplaceable toolkit. From Photoshop for image manipulation to Illustrator for vector graphics and Premiere Pro for video editing, Adobe's has the hands down best software. The Adobe Express app makes it a breeze to create graphics for social media. It's one the expensive side on this list but if you've a lot of creative work to do like me, it's definitely worth it.

Termius

Going from storing SSH commands in text files to be executed later in the terminal, Termius has made managing SSH connections a breeze. Its organised approach to managing remote server access ensures easy connections to different environments, keeping me well-organized and stress-free in my workflow.

Conclusion

In the dynamic world of freelance web design, having the right set of tools can make all the difference. The applications mentioned have been perfect for me and my workflows, allowing me to deliver exceptional results to my clients and grow my business.
